Our teachings are deeply rooted in our beliefs about the nature of God, whom we understand to be a triune being: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This foundational belief sets the stage for our entire theological outlook, emphasizing the complex and unified nature of God in Christian doctrine.
Central to our faith is the deity of Jesus Christ, recognizing Him as both true God and true Man. His incarnation, birth from a virgin, demonstrates the miraculous and salvific plan of God for humanity. Through Jesus Christ, salvation is extended to all people, offering redemption and the promise of eternal life to those who believe.
The sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross is pivotal to our theology. He bore the penalty of death for the Church, which He purchased with His own blood. Following His resurrection, He ascended to the right hand of God the Father. This act not only signifies His victory over death but also His ongoing intercessory role for believers. Furthermore, we hold to the blessed hope that He will personally return to earth in visible form to gather His Church to Himself, where they will remain with Him forever.
Healing, both spiritual and physical, is viewed as a provision of Christ's redemptive work on the cross. This belief underscores the holistic salvation Jesus offers, addressing the entirety of human needs. Similarly, the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in our faith as a divine person. It is the will of God for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit, empowering them for life and ministry, and guiding them in truth and sanctification.
Lastly, our faith deeply respects the authority and inspiration of the Scriptures, viewing all Scripture as divinely inspired by God. This reverence for the Bible informs our understanding of truth and morality. We also affirm the resurrection of both the just and the unjust in bodily form, underscoring the eternal consequences of our earthly lives. The practices of water baptism and the observance of the Lord’s Supper are integral to our worship, serving as sacraments that connect us with the grace of God and the community of faith.
